Thank you all for making our 2018 Fox Trot a success! It takes a lot of work to put together a fundraiser and we appreciate how everyone comes together for this important event! Prize day is coming up on Friday, October 5th - we still have need for volunteers that day if you have the time. Welcome back to Fall River for the 2018/2019 school year! September is chock full of events - we’ve listed some of the highlights below. For more details, join us on our PTO FaceBook page, visit www.FallRiverPTO.org or email us directly.
The end of the school year is a busy time for FRES students and families, and for the PTO as well! There are still many ways to get involved!
Our final PTO meeting of the year will be on Monday, May 14, at 6p. We will vote on next year’s executive board, discuss planning for next year’s Fox Trot, and review recent and current PTO projects. As usual, child care will be provided for kids 3 years of age and older.
Our next PTO meeting will be on Monday, April 9, from 6-7p. A guest speaker from Grassroots St Vrain will be presenting about school funding in Colorado. We will also be discussing plans for Carnival and Teacher Appreciation Week. Ideas and volunteers are needed. Coordinators have been identified for each event, but they could definitely use some additional support. As usual, childcare for children ages 3 years and up will be available.
Our next PTO meeting will be on Monday, March 12, from 6-7:30p. Our special guest this month is Eddie Cloke, principal at Trail Ridge Middle School. He will speak briefly on life at TRMS and will take questions from the audience. If you are at all anxious about sending your child off into the great unknown of middle school, this is your chance to learn more in the comfort of familiar surroundings. We hope that many families will choose to take advantage of this opportunity. As usual, childcare for children ages 3 years and up will be available.
Thank you to everyone who attended our PTO meeting in January! We will be having our next PTO meeting on Monday, February 12, 2018, from 6-7p. Childcare will be provided. In addition to our usual business, our special discussion topic this month is the upcoming renovations to our school made possible by the passage of the bond measure in November 2016. Curious how things will look different next school year? Joining us for this meeting will be the architect working on the renovations to Fall River that will take place this spring and summer.
Happy New Year! Thanks to everyone who came to our December meeting. We hope to be able to repeat the snack-and-chat portion at a future meeting, so watch for your second chance at treats and socializing. If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to get more involved with PTO this year, your first chance will be at our next general PTO meeting will be on Monday, January 8, 2018, from 6-7p in the library.
We would like to thank the entire Fall River community for helping to make our restaurant nights such a success! The PTO earned $243 at Texas Roadhouse in October and an record-breaking $916 at Chipotle in November! We will be discussing how best to use this windfall at our next PTO meeting. Two additional community nights are planned for after the new year, so please stay tuned for those. We’d also like to remind everyone of the monthly Fall River night at Nicolo’s on each Late Start day. We appreciate the ongoing support of one of our local busin
Now that Fox Trot, fall conference meals, and Fall Clean-up Day are over, the PTO would like to extend its thanks to all of the volunteers that have helped make these events successful! Special recognition goes to Michaela Aiken for taking on the task of coordinating our fall conference meals.
A huge Thank You to everyone who helped with this year’s Fox Trot! Since we held this event a week later than last year, preliminary numbers are not yet available, but we should have news to report by the October PTO meeting,
