Community School December News

Hello Fall River Families!

I hope the November break left you well-rested and ready to tackle the end of the school year! At Community Schools we have been thinking up some classes to get excited about before the holiday break!

Next week on late start, Community Schools will be hosting an Around the World Festival! Students will be exploring the traditions of many different cultures during the winter months. There will be a variety of crafts to complete with the incredible staff from Fox Den. Learn about Diwali, the color-filled festival from India, St. Lucia day celebrated in Sweden, as well as some holidays that are more familiar, like Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Christmas.

Community Schools is also offering a Stuff a Fox Friend class, just in time for the holidays. Students will get to stuff their own fox to take home, and have the opportunity to make some accessories for their new friend. Look for that flier in Thursday folders next week!

Finally, to really get in the spirit of the season, Community Schools will be offering a Gingerbread Wars class! Students will receive a gingerbread house kit, and challenged to build it the greatest they can! Friendly competition, sweets, and cheer; what more can you ask?!

Class size will be extremely limited for both the Stuff a Fox Friend class, and the Gingerbread Wars class, so sign up early! Fliers will be going home next week, and class sign-up is available through stvrain.revtrak.net. See Liz Hanscome for questions about classes or registration.

I’m wishing all of our families from Fall River a very safe and Happy Holidays!

See you in the New Year!
