Fall River Elementary Newsletter

Hello Fall River Fox Families,

Every year, St. Vrain does projections for the predicted enrollment of each of its schools. In short, through a statistical analysis SVVSD does its best guess as to how many students each building will have next school-year.

Fall River’s projection is healthy. In fact, our enrollment is expected to increase slightly. With overall enrollment expected to increase, we have received additional staffing for next year. This is necessitating some new hiring and some changes in next year’s assignment of teachers. It is also presenting some great opportunities for existing staff to try out some new roles at Fall River. In addition, we have some staff who are moving on to new adventures.

New Hires:

Ms. Amber Koran will be returning to Fall River as our ESCE Preschool teacher.
Mrs. Tiffany Manzanares will be our newest 1st grade teacher.
Mrs. Sydney Vasquez is our newest 4th grade teacher.

Some Moves:

Amber Jackson, 3rd grade teacher, is moving to California with her partner who has an employment opportunity there. We will miss her!
Monika Atkinson, our marvelous preschool teacher, is leaving us to pursue new opportunities within Early Childhood.
Julianne McKell, our dedicated & amazing special education teacher has a new role with the SVVSD special education team.
Heather Staples, currently in 3rd grade, is moving to join our 1st grade team.
Amy Lee, currently 1st grade, will be moving to our 4th grade team.
Brian Huey, currently in 4th grade, is moving to join our 5th grade team.
Analise Schultz and Rachel Billeter, currently 2nd grade teachers, are moving to 3rd grade together.
Sophie Toupozoglou, currently 4th grade, will be moving to 3rd grade.
Melinda Schluckebier, currently 3rd grade, will be moving to join the 2nd grade team.
Theresa Buchtel, currently 5th grade, will be taking on our intermediate reading interventionist role.

Hope to see you this evening at Unplugged Summer!

Onward and upward!
