Courage & Character
Hello Fall River Fox Families,
We always try to focus on “kindness” during the Valentine’s Day season. Speaking kindly to others, helping the people around you, and spreading thoughtful words of kindness are practices we help our Foxes to learn during the first half February.
Our student council (about 40 of our kiddos are on STUCO) recently wrapped up their Kindness-Gram campaign. Fall River students wrote over 800 messages of kindness to their classmates and teachers and family members. I’m super proud of our student council for organizing and leading such a positive learning experience for our students.
While I’m on the topic of kindness, I’d also like to point out that Mrs. Evans’ preschoolers put together an amazing act of kindness for our school. They created a “chain of kindness” by linking construction paper circlets with messages of kindness and decorated our halls with this chain. What makes this even more special is that several of our older classrooms and grade levels found out about it and pitched in their help to make it the biggest kindness chain ever. I love it when our older students model kindness and character for our littlest Foxes.
I hope all of you have a wonderful extended weekend, and that you enjoy Valentine’s Day with your family.
Onward and upward!

Adolescent RISE with Nicholas Thompson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Adolescent RISE is a presentation that takes a fun and informative look at the developmental period of adolescence (ages 10-25). It includes debunking myths about adolescence, understanding the four qualities of adolescence (risk taking, identity formation, social reorientation, and emotional intensity), and learning about the tweenage brain. With this foundation established, ways to better support our kids will be discussed.
