SVVSD Spring Art Show

It’s almost Spring and the SVVSD Spring Art Show is fast approaching. It will be held in the Exhibition Hall at the Boulder County Fair Grounds, Tuesday April 14-Sunday April 19

Public Viewing: Tuesday April 14 – Saturday, April 18: 10am to 8pm Sunday, April 19: 10am to 2pm 

Open House: Thursday, April 16 from 5:00 – 6:30pm. 

Works in Progress

Kinder- 3-D Penguins: artists are creating 3-Dimensional penguins and exploring a variety of art making techniques. 

 

1st grade- Clay Pinch Pots: artists are learning about the ceramic process and using a variety of art making techniques with clay to create pinch pots. 

 

2nd grade- Warm and Cool Color Suns: artists are creating warm and cool color suns, and learning about symbols in art.

 

3rd grade- Ceramic Tea Cups/Bowls: artists are creating ceramic cups or bowls and learning about Japanese culture.

 

4th grade- Native American Rock Art: artists are learning about petroglyphs (rock carvings) and pictographs (rock paintings) and Native American art.

 

5th grade- Clay Slab Creations: artists are learning about the ceramic process and are creating three dimensional boxes.
