Nominations for Gifted and Talented this year are closed.  In October the new nominees will be tested.  
Advanced Learning Plans for identified GT students will be available at conferences.  Be on the look out for 5th grade GT Lunch Bunch information in your 5th grader's Fox Folder in October.

Fall has arrived! Artists have been busy in the art room creating incredible works of art.

Kindergarten- Artists have been studying line in art and are transitioning into how artist create art using shape.

1st grade- Line Art and Shape: artists are finishing their study of how artist use line to show energy and movement in a work of art and beginning to examine the art of Henri Matisse and how he used shape to create art.

THE HEALTH OFFICE IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF PANTS FOR KIDS WHO ARE NEEDING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES.  SIZES PRE K-5TH GRADE.  WE NEED THEM FOR BOYS AND GIRLS.  NO SHIRTS OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF CLOTHING IS NEEDED AT THIS TIME.  ALL DONATIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Cafeteria October News

ATTENTION ALL BREAKFAST LOVERS!
In October the normal late start lunch of breakfast will be served the TUESDAY before late start then we will serve Cheeseburgers on late start day. We are trying to make the serving process easier on late start days since we are even more limited on that day to serve the kiddos lunch. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Please continue to pay attention to the menu for the month with any changes that might come.

Preschool October News

Preschool is currently exploring the topic of reusing and recycling. We are looking forward to a visit from Eco-Cycle at the end of the month where we will learn more about how to take care of our Earth.

Students have also been learning about specific strategies to help them solve problems with their friends as well as how to identify and handle strong emotions.

Preschoolers are working on recognizing and writing their names as well as identifying the letters in their names.
