Student Council November News

We can’t believe November is here already. October flew by for student council. We presented each Kindergartner with a decorated ROCK and note to welcome him/her to Fall River and as a reminder that Fall River ROCKS!

Members also voted on a new t-shirt design for Student Council. We should be getting them soon and we are excited. Thank you to Jennifer Melvin, a Fall River Parent, for designing and creating them for us.

We wrapped up our month with the Halloween Dance where members ran the concessions stand. That is certainly a popular place at Fall River.

Counselor November News

As gratitude is about expressing your appreciation for what others do for you, what better time is there than the holidays to help your children understand and appreciate all you've done for them - and will continue to do?

Library November News

In an effort to empower students to find “good fit” books, we added Lexile color codes to Fall River Elementary library books.  This is an ongoing process but most Picture Books and Fiction Books have been Lexile color coded. Lexile Framework for Reading is a great program that connects students with books that are at their own appropriate reading level. To find out more about the books your student is interested in and whether they fit into their Lexile range go to www.lexile.com.

Hello Parents,

It is hard to believe your students have almost completed the first trimester of school!

Hopefully, you’ve taken the opportunity to sign up for Artsonia or have the Artsonia app to see what you child creates. If you have not signed up and would like to I will be sending permission slips home in Friday folders. Here’s what we have been working on in art class.

Kinder- Fall Tree Paper Collage: artists have been exploring how to cut and tear paper to create a fall tree paper collage.

Principal November News

Dear Fall River Families,

Preschool November News

It has been all about recycling in Preschool! We learned what types of materials could and could not be recycled and where our trash and recycling goes after it leaves our school. We had great fun making magnificent things out of recycled materials. We experimented with trash and what happens when it ends up in the water. We now know what the recycling symbol looks like and what it means. We felt that we learned so much that we had to go and teach other classes how to recycle and take care of our Earth.
