Cafeteria May News

Hello Fall River Families:

ATTENTION ATTENTION:
The cafeteria will be CLOSED on the last day of school for all meals. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at any time.
Please make sure that all negative balances are taken care of before the 14th of May.  We would like to end the year with a zero balance of money owed for lunches!

GT May News

We had a great time in G/T math!  We tested our toothpick bridges and EVERYONE'S bridge was successful!  They were able to withstand the wait of 6 chapter books and a book basket!  We also dabbled a little in some logic puzzles and brain teaser games.  Primary G/T is over for the year.  Thanks for sharing your kids with me on Thursday mornings!

Student Council May News

The final Student Council Newsletter is really here. The school year has flown by. Student Council had a busy year and we still have a few more things to do before the end of May. On Thursday, April 26th we are headed to the Longmont City Building. Students will have an opportunity to learn about our city council and the many tasks they take on. They will also receive a tour of the city building including the 911 call center and possibly the jail. Please note that due to 4-27-18 being a non-student contact day, we will not have a student council meeting.

Preschoolers are currently learning about plants. They are being scientist and observing the changes taking place in the seeds they planted. They are learning what a plant needs and how to care for one. The art talent in preschool is outstanding. They sketched beautiful daisies and carnations from looking at live flowers.

PTO May News

The end of the school year is a busy time for FRES students and families, and for the PTO as well!  There are still many ways to get involved!

Our final PTO meeting of the year will be on Monday, May 14, at 6p.  We will vote on next year’s executive board, discuss planning for next year’s Fox Trot, and review recent and current PTO projects.  As usual, child care will be provided for kids 3 years of age and older.

Dear St. Vrain Valley Community,

Thank you for your continued partnership and unwavering support which has contributed significantly to student achievement and success. I am deeply appreciative of our community, as you have consistently demonstrated your value for public education through the generous passage of several mill levy overrides and bond initiatives, among many other ways that you have strengthened our schools. Together with our excellent teachers and staff, our students are receiving the benefit of an outstanding education.
