December 2018

Last month we celebrated togetherness, and light through exploring the cultural traditions like Diwali, St. Martin’s day and Thanksgiving we have learned more about what makes us who we are. This month we will continue to investigate how food plays a role in our identities and how children experience traditions and culture. This is a great way to also further our explorations in to differences and all the ways we are unique.

This month we will celebrate 7 birthdays in December! Hudson, Tia, Topher, Delaney, Joshua, Allie, Tristan!

What families can do to support and participate: Please share your recipes and dishes for traditional foods, drinks, and dishes your family enjoys for the winter season.

Our family event for December will take place on Saturday 12/8th at 4:00 pm. All families are invited to meet us at St. Stephen’s Plaza – 500 Main St for winter craft activities, music, hot chocolate and good fun. The Longmont parade of lights starts at 5:00pm and we can stay and watch together as a group right there on Main street!

As we continue to investigate our individuality through the lenses of culture, tradition, and family Holidays it is helpful to hear from the families about what traditions they participate in specific to this wintery time of year. Just shoot an email over to Mrs. Jeslyn @ [email protected]
