The end of the school year is a busy time for FRES students and families, and for the PTO as well!  There are still many ways to get involved!

Our final PTO meeting of the year will be on Monday, May 14, at 6p.  We will vote on next year’s executive board, discuss planning for next year’s Fox Trot, and review recent and current PTO projects.  As usual, child care will be provided for kids 3 years of age and older.

Teacher Appreciation Week: This annual event is being held April 30^th-May 4^th this year.  Information on the various student and PTO activities will be sent home by email and in Friday folders.  Don’t forget to sign up to bring breakfast items on Late Start Wednesday, May 2^nd.  Help us show Fall River teachers and staff how much we value their time and talents.

Carnival: This year’s Carnival is Friday, May 11^th, from 4:30-7:30p at the school.  Many volunteers are needed to make this event a success.  Adults and middle and high school students are needed to help run games, sell tickets, and assist with food service.  You can sign-up to volunteer on-line (http://fallriverpto.org/carnival-volunteer-signup/), using the paper volunteer form that will be in Friday folders on May 4^th, or by contacting the PTO directly.  If you are available to help set-up the Carnival that afternoon, please contact us directly at [email protected].  Tickets will again be available for pre-order at a discount; forms will go home on 4/26.

Yearbook: This year’s edition will be arriving soon, and order forms have already been sent home.  Pre-ordered yearbooks will be sent home with students once they arrive; after that, any remaining copies will be available for sale in the office.  The cost is $15 and can be paid with cash or a check payable to Fall River PTO.

5^th grade celebration: PTO helps send off our “graduating” 5^th graders in style: with cake and punch!  This event on May 23^rd is traditionally organized and hosted by current 4^th grade parents.  If you’re interested in helping out, please contact us at [email protected]

Pre-packaged School Supplies: Although many fun days of summer lie just ahead, the 2018-19 school year is looming a mere 3 months away.  We would like to make the transition back a little easier by doing your school supply shopping for you.  You can order next year’s supplies before school gets out and find your packaged kit waiting for you at Popsicle Pop-in in August.  We have reviewed the district’s supply list with the teaching teams at Fall River to ensure that we only get those items that they want and use.  Again this year will be the option to also purchase the optional classroom donation items and complete all of your back-to-school supply shopping in one easy step.  Please note that this is not a fundraiser.  As a service to our fellow Fall River families, we purchase the supplies in bulk at the best price we can find and sell the packages at cost.  Order forms will be sent home on May 4^th and will be due back on May 21^st.
