The continued safety, well-being, and success of our students, teachers, staff, and community has always been our top priority as we navigate the complex and evolving coronavirus crisis. To that end, our comprehensive task force has outlined a school reopening plan that includes a return to full-time in-person instruction for students in grades PK-5, 6, and 9, and an alternating schedule with a combination of in-person and synchronous real-time online learning for students in grades 7-8 and 10-12.
La seguridad continúa, el bienestar, y el éxito de nuestros estudiantes, maestros, empleados, y la comunidad siempre ha sido nuestra prioridad más importante a manera que enfrentamos la compleja y evolucionante crisis del coronavirus. Happy New Year! Thanks to everyone who came to our December meeting. We hope to be able to repeat the snack-and-chat portion at a future meeting, so watch for your second chance at treats and socializing. If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to get more involved with PTO this year, your first chance will be at our next general PTO meeting will be on Monday, January 8, 2018, from 6-7p in the library.
Our next "restaurant night" will be January 23rd at Chick-Fil-A. Other dates for the spring are also being organized. These events have been very successful so far. PTO has decided to earmark the money raised to finance special projects suggested by teachers and staff.
Thirdly, though it seems too soon, the second round of Parent-Teacher conferences takes place at the end of January/beginning of February, which means it's time for PTO to start thinking about conference meals. The support of Fall River families is what makes this project successful and extra meaningful. Menu sign-up forms will be released mid-January, but we can also use parent volunteers to help with set-up and clean-up (sign-up for those shifts is included with the food sign-ups).
Finally, yearbook preparations are in full swing. We rely on parents and staff to help supply us with the candid pictures that the kids love to see. The more pictures we have available, the better the final product. Field trips, special events, and everyday activities are all needed. Higher resolution files are preferred to make editing easier. Submissions can be sent to our hardworking yearbook editors at email@example.com Thank you in advance for your help!
