Fall has arrived! Artists have been busy in the art room creating incredible works of art.

Kindergarten- Artists have been studying line in art and are transitioning into how artist create patterns using line and texture.

1st grade- Line Art and Shape: artists are finishing their study of how artist use line to show energy and movement in a work of art and beginning to examine the art of Henri Matisse and how he used shape to create art.

Welcome back Fall River Foxes!

It has been great to see the return of all our outstanding artists here at Fall River!

All grade levels are currently studying line in art and creating expressive line designs. We will be combining the individual designs to make a large community mural for display.

Spring has officially arrived, and on April 17th, UNFRAMED, the district-wide art show, begins! Join the SVVSD in celebrating the artistic talents of the St. Vrain Valley students. The annual art show showcases various works of art representing a wide variety of forms and media used by student artists. Visitors can expect to view paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, design, new media, and much more.

I am excited to announce that there are currently three local businesses proudly displaying a selection of artwork created by Fall River Students: Nicolo’s Pizza, Mac’s Place, and Twisted Roots. If you happen to be at any of these establishments, please take the opportunity to enjoy the artwork on display and scan the QR code, which will link to Artsonia and allow you to see more great Fall River student artwork.

Happy Valentines!

5th grade Fall River Elementary yearbook cover designs have been on display, and the winners were recently announced! Congratulations to Natalie Shaeffer and Ella Staples for having their designs selected to be on the 2017/2018-yearbook cover. Natalie’s will be on the front, and Ella’s will be on the back. Students that participated in the design challenge are very excited to see their art on display, and it’s been fun to hear students declare which artwork they would choose for the cover.

It is hard to believe your students have almost completed the first trimester of school!
